In early 2021, the restaurant industry had been hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic for almost a year. Delivery and click & collect via online channels had become the only possible revenue source and restaurant owners were forced to adapt.
That was when Thibault, a FoodTech entrepreneur with a decade of experience (TheFork, Skello), and Wuillaume, a graduate of France’s prestigious École Polytechnique who’s long been passionate about tech and data, met through the Entrepreneur First programme. They soon decided to join forces to help the sector.
After spending a few weeks working with companies of all sizes to test their concept (Pokawa, Mum Dim Sum, La Poutinerie), they quickly realised that with an effective strategy and the right tools, each point of sale could boost profitability by up to 30% on digital channels.

Online ordering platforms are an increasingly important source of revenue for restaurants and recent studies show that online sales channels will account for more than 50% of their business by 2025.
