McDo Grana: a platform strategy that’s paying off 📈

In January 2019, Franck Sastre bought 10 restaurants around Bordeaux, creating the franchise network known as McDo Grana. Since then, the network has grown steadily and now includes 13 restaurants in the region around Bordeaux.

Cécilia, the franchise network’s Head of Sales, shared her valuable experience with us. Drawing on her experience at McDonald’s, having been responsible for sales management for four restaurants in Nantes since 2013, she explained how Flynt has helped her with her marketing strategy.

Maintaining post-pandemic digital order volume 🛍️

“During the pandemic, we saw a surge in home deliveries; this enabled us to attract a considerable number of new customers,” Cécilia says.

“After COVID, maintaining the same volume of digital orders became a priority. We knew that there was real potential,” she continues.

That’s why Flynt was a real opportunity for the McDo Grana franchise.

“We saw Flynt as a way to stabilise our online sales after COVID and increase our visibility on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.”

Simplified, centralised digital management 🌐

“We needed to simplify the management of our digital strategy. With Flynt, we can centralise the management of our special offers and ads in just a few clicks, whether on Deliveroo or Uber Eats,” Cécilia explains.

Indeed, Cécilia can implement her marketing strategy on a granular level across all McDo Grana restaurants using the same tool; this saves her a considerable amount of time and guarantees a custom strategy which is tailored to each restaurant.

Cécilia adds that she has been impressed by the support provided by Charlotte, Customer Success Manager at Flynt.

“Charlotte suggests promotional and sponsored advertising scenarios which are tailored to our needs, based on our performance, along with adjustments to optimise our use of Flynt. We look forward to our monthly meetings to further improve our strategy,” Cécilia explains.

Using artificial intelligence to boost profitability 🤖

“We can be confident that we’ve got the right promotion at the right time. If we were going to adapt our special offers in real time, we would need to be online at all times to be able to monitor our performance: it would be genuinely impossible,” Cécilia emphasises.

“The integration of artificial intelligence gives us real peace of mind; we now know that our data is being analysed in real time and that Flynt is adjusting our strategy accordingly. There are regular updates and the integrated technology ensures proactive management of promotional offers, with instant reactivity,” Cécilia adds.

Cécilia goes on to explain that this approach enables her to focus on other aspects of her role as Head of Sales.

“Changes in turnover and profits are two indicators which I track very closely,” Cécilia continues.

“Flynt’s main focus is profitability: every special offer is analysed in terms of return on investment (ROI). Using these key performance indicators, we can make quick and informed decisions to maximise our financial results.”

We have total confidence in the tool.

With a smart strategy on Flynt, McDo Grana saw sales increase by 38. 2% and profits by 32%, compared to a period without a strategy.

In conclusion, and as Cécilia points out: “you’ve got to move with the times!"

For McDo Grana, this means adopting the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence and automation, to support growth and optimize profitability.
