Napoli Gang: Italian authenticity at your fingertips from Big Mamma 🍕

Napoli Gang was born when Big Mamma, the famous Italian street food brand, took advantage of the pandemic to review and revisit its recipes to adapt them for delivery.

Quality produce is imported directly from Italy and prepared in 9 kitchens in France’s biggest cities (Paris, Lille, Lyon).

It’s been a resounding success, with more than 350,000 orders received every year!

Juliette Euzenot, Napoli Gang’s COO, told us about the challenges of such rapid growth and the Group’s use of Flynt.

Operational and strategic challenges before Flynt 🏷️

The first difficulty Juliette faced was setting up promotions on the various online platforms.

“Configuring our promotions and sponsored ads via the Uber Eats interface was complicated and time-consuming. It wasn’t designed for multi-site management,” she explains.

“Before Flynt, we used to run daily promotional campaigns. This had significant operational consequences, because a promotion which is suitable for the quiet beginning of a service isn’t suited to a busy period. The teams were overwhelmed by the excessive volume of orders they had to process and we saw our average ticket impacted significantly at times when it wasn’t justified,” Juliette adds.

“The second major obstacle was performance analysis. Before Flynt, I couldn’t compare the performance of my marketing campaigns at different times and the available performance indicators were also inadequate,” she continues.

Without Flynt, it was difficult, if not impossible, to draw any conclusions about the performance of my marketing strategy.

Juliette adds that on Flynt she looks at the ROI of both promotions and sponsored ads, then analyzes performance over relevant comparison periods and by niche.

A better understanding of Uber Eats' ranking 🥇

Thanks to Flynt, Juliette can analyse the visibility of each of Napoli Gang’s kitchens, both in terms of ranking and the time spent in carousels.

In this way, she can quickly identify which kitchens are suffering from a lack of visibility and take appropriate action. She emphasises that it is impossible for her to access this information without Flynt, a tool which she considers to be neutral and therefore reliable.

“What’s more, we have a close working relationship with Flynt which provides excellent support. Léa, our Account Manager, regularly shares valuable information with us, such as market trends,” Juliette adds.

Lastly, Juliette tells us about what happened on Valentine’s Day 2022, when a major football match was played: her teams were overwhelmed by a sudden influx of orders, leading to an excessive workload in a short period of time. “This was a stressful situation for the teams, who are committed to providing every customer with a consistent level of quality,” she says.

She underlines the contrasting situation on the same date the following year: with a smart and automatic promotional strategy on Flynt, the teams generated an optimal order volume within the limits of their production capacity.

Compared to the previous year without Flynt, it was like night and day.
